About Us
Passionate about animal welfare.
Stimami Sterilisami Foundation stands at the forefront of addressing Aruba's significant pet overpopulation challenge. The initiative, initially proposed by Yesenia Arends and established by Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort in 2016, officially became a foundation in 2018.

Our core initiative revolves around our national spay and neuter program. Since our inception, we have funded and facilitated the sterilization of over 37,000 cats and dogs. These crucial interventions extend beyond merely preventing unwanted litters. By spaying and neutering, we not only bolster the health of our furry companions by decreasing the risks of reproductive illnesses and cancers, but we also curb aggressive and roaming behaviors. This ensures safer roads for both motorists and pedestrians, reduces the strain on animal shelters, and diminishes the financial burden on communities and rescue organizations to care for unwanted animals. Moreover, these proactive measures also lead to fewer cases of animal cruelty related to abandonment and neglect. Collectively, these benefits uplift the community at large and safeguard Aruba's valued tourism product.

Transparency and accountability lie at the heart of our operations. As a non-profit entity, we diligently channel 100% of our donations directly towards sterilization initiatives for the public and volunteer and rescue organizations. Our financial records undergo regular audits, and our books are open to the public.

Register your pet and help create a happier, healthier, and more compassionate future for Aruba's beloved animals. Together, we can effect change—one sterilization at a time.
